Transforming the travel experience on Charleston Blvd a long-term process. RTC is starting with the Charleston Alternatives Analysis to study different options for how transportation could be enhanced. 

Current Status

The Charleston Boulevard Alternatives Analysis is an important step toward improving transit along one of Southern Nevada’s busiest travel corridors. The study is evaluating future high-capacity transit options that could make travel safer, faster, more reliable and more convenient for the people who live, work and travel along Charleston Boulevard.

As this work moves forward, RTC is also working on a long-term, sustainable transit funding solution. While the Charleston Alternatives Analysis identifies a recommended path forward, the project remains in the planning stage. Construction is not expected in the near term, and no funding or implementation timeline has been established. Planning now ensures the region is better prepared to pursue future funding opportunities and advance improvements when resources become available. The next phases of the project—design, environmental review, construction and implementation—will depend on future funding availability.
